Christina Nipper is a native of the US and has lived in China for over 12 years. She graduated from Wheaton College in 2009 with a Master of Arts in TESOL. She has taught in Anhui and Jiangsu Province, and spent 2 years studying language in Jilin Province. This is Christina’s 5th year teaching in Nanjing. She has taught courses in oral English, academic writing, and Western culture. In the last year, Christina has enjoyed working with her colleagues at Jiangsu Open University by participating in observations and teaching seminars. In May, she was awarded the May Day Labor Honor Medal. This year Christina is teaching Sophomore Writing and Junior Culture courses.






Ethan VanDerPloeg is from Greenwood, Indiana from the USA and is married to the lovely, talented and beautiful Jocelyn VanDerPloeg. He has now lived in China for nearly a year and a half.  He graduated in 2013 with a Major in Fine Arts and two minors in Business and Art History from Indiana University, Purdue University, Indianapolis and then completed a certificate in TESOL from Wheaton College in 2016.  Ethan teaches classes that range from Freshman Practical English to Junior Writing.
